TimeSave Chrome Extension — Last updated April 17, 2026
What is TimeSave?
TimeSave is a Chrome extension that generates AI-powered summaries and key moments for YouTube videos. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data we collect
- Google account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. This is used to identify your account and display your initials in the extension.
- YouTube video URLs — when you request a summary, the URL of the YouTube video is sent to our servers to fetch the transcript and generate the summary.
- Usage count — we track how many summaries you have generated to enforce the free tier limit (5 summaries/month).
- Payment information — if you subscribe to TimeSave Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We store only your Stripe subscription status.
Data we do not collect
- We do not collect your browsing history.
- We do not collect data from pages other than YouTube video pages.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
Third-party services
- Google Firebase — used to store your account and credit data. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Google Gemini API — used to generate video summaries from transcripts. Video transcripts are sent to Google's API for processing. Gemini Terms
